Summer Camp

Since 1996, the museum has been offering a special programme for upper-elementary school students during vacation time. The programme is led by the museum’s curators, specialists, and artifact restorers, who introduce students to the museum’s collections and areas of historical interest. Students can see and handle artifacts themselves.

The camp’s theme changes from year to year. On the last day, students take part in a knightly tournament, where teams compete using the knowledge and skills they have gained throughout the week. At the close of the tournament, the students are all knighted in a ceremony accompanied by a cannon salute.

The week-long camp is offered during three different weeks annually for ease of scheduling. Throughout the course of each week, programmes run from 8:00-16:00 daily. The fee is 13,500 Ft. For more information, please contact Júlia Király (06-36-312-744, ext. 115).

Registration for the 2007 Camps is closed.
